    A European Take on a British Tradition.

    With the objective of bringing the Heineken brand in line with its image around the world - high quality, premium and desirable - ATTIK looked to continental European art, design and architectural styles alongside cafe bar culture for inspiration. The resulting study surfaced strong colors; defined angles, edges and geometric shapes; bold patterns; prominent and varied typography; and a combination of rich heritage and progressive modernity. These strong, bold visual references proved to be the perfect contrast to the more conservative British style, and served as the basis for ATTIK's design solution.

    ATTIK developed a design system for Heineken that gave the brand a clear, premium look that was reflective of European cafe lifestyle. The system incorporated key elements of the new, cafe-drinking experience, using strong vertical lines to emphasize the new Heineken glass size, as well as the froth head. The guidelines would drive the design of all communication materials across multiple touch points within the UK market.
